Journeying with God

We make a Retreat to know our maker and better understand ourselves. Come and look back at your life with God, to savour and heal it, and look forward with hope to what God has in store for you, using the Examen. The Examen is a reflective prayer popularised by St Ignatius of Loyola. It invites us to find God in all the people and events of our lives.

Retreat Director: Dr Susie Hii

Dr Susie Hii is a spiritual director whose unique background integrates science and faith. Susie holds a Masters in Spirituality from the University of Divinity alongside a medical degree from the University of Melbourne, and works as a medical specialist (geriatrician). She brings a grounded, compassionate, and practical approach to spiritual well-being. Susie has been a CLC member since 1996.

Susie has been a regular contributor to Madonna magazine and pray.com.au, and is the author of Happy, Healthy, Holy: Learning to let go and let God, Journey into the Second Half of Life, Towards Wholeness: From Fear to Love, and Do you love me? Reflections by Susie Hii.

Date: Friday 18 September - Sunday 20 September 2026

Dinner at 6 pm Friday. Retreat close at 1:30 pm Sunday

Venue: St John of God Retreat Centre, 47 Gloucester Crescent, SHOALWATER

Accommodation in a private room with ensuite; all meals provided

Cost: $320 for paid-up CLC members; $345 for non-members

Please note: As we need to notify the Retreat Centre of numbers attending 3 months prior to the retreat, full payment is required on registration. To avoid incurring a loss, non-attendees will only receive a refund if a replacement is found prior to the retreat.
