Who We Are
We are a group of people committed to promoting Ignatian Spirituality and its gifts. We aim to achieve this by connecting people and information about local Ignatian events and offering formation opportunities.
Inspired by our mutual love of Ignatian Spirituality, we formed ISWA in October 2018 in response to the departure of the Society of Jesus (Jesuits) from W.A.
Vision
To promote and foster Ignatian Spirituality and a deeper spiritual life rooted in the principles and practices of St Ignatius of Loyola, within the WA community at large. It aims to offer Ignatian spiritual exercise in all its various forms.
Goal
To cultivate a vibrant community in Western Australia that embodies the Ignatian way of finding God in all things, promoting personal transformation, and encouraging service to others.

5. Provide resources, accompaniment, and opportunities for spiritual accompaniment and mentoring.
6. Foster a sense of belonging and mutual support among those interested in Ignatian spirituality, including partnerships with parishes, schools, and other faith-based organisations.
7. Inspire action for social justice and service to others, reflecting the Ignatian commitment to faith that does justice.
Strategies

7. Work alongside Jesuit and Ignatian networks, local parishes, schools, and other organisations to broaden the reach and impact of Ignatian spirituality in WA.
8. Initiate and support outreach programmes that address local needs, incorporating reflection and discernment in service activities.
Conclusion
Through our vision, goals, objectives, and strategies, Ignatian Spirituality WA seeks to nurture faith, foster personal and communal growth, and encourage purposeful action in the spirit of St Ignatius. Our commitment is to create spaces where all are invited to encounter God, discern their path, and serve the wider community.
